As I’ve been drawn to greens, blues and teals of late, I thought I’d give you a round up of some of the lovely wallpaper’s I’ve considered for recent projects. Which is your favourite?
Are you ready for this? Anna Kubel, the uber-talented photographer and stylist whose work I adore, has collaborated with one of my favourite wallpaper brands, Sandberg, to create a mini collection for children. The “Kubel Kids” range offers five patterns in a selection of colours created in collaboration with Anna. The imagery, as always, is stunning. Enjoy!
The collection also comes with a set of accessories, including animal masks and a jumping jack hare. For more information, please visit Sandberg wallpaper.

I recently came across this beautiful image of a kid’s room with cloud wallpaper – loving the subtle colours, styling and of course the whimsical cloud wallpaper design. It’s by Allison & Allison, who offer a bespoke wallpaper design service.
Using pen and ink, Annie Allison starts by hand drawing ideas based on your brief – you may already have an image of the design in mind that you’d like to have committed to wallpaper, or like the idea of a design being created especially for you. Sizes and colours can be tweaked as desired before a sample of the final design is created. For more information visit her website.

Have you seen Hibou Home’s new wallpaper designs for kids? They’re simply adorable, with these Star and Portraits designs being my favourites.
I love the slight metallic sheen on the Stellar Blue colour way above. This design would be equally at home in a nursery or a teen room, don’t you think? The subtle golden accents on the otherwise monochrome Portraits wallpaper are such a sweet touch too – who wouldn’t like these little friends in their room?

Here is the second inspiration board I created for super stylish children’s wallpaper and fabric brand Hibou Home. The board features their Secret Garden in Waterlily, a versatile, quite ethereal blueish green colour. It would make a great feature wall in a woodland themed kid’s room or nursery and is easy to combine with a number of colours.
For the walls, I usually go for a slightly darker or lighter version of the wallpaper’s background colour, or pick out one of the other colours in the design. Over on Hibou Home’s website I’ve suggested a list of colours and fabrics that will look great with Secret Garden in Waterlily, check them out here.

I’ve featured Hibou Home’s children’s wallpapers and fabrics a few times on this blog as I love their whimsical designs and colours. So I was delighted when they got in touch and asked me to create an inspiration board for two of their wallpaper designs.
First up is Animal Parade in Mint Green, a really versatile, sophisticated blue-green colour that looks great in a kid’s room or nursery as part of a calm, tonal scheme or accented with contrasting colours. To make things super easy, I’ve listed a number of paint colour and fabric suggestions that would look fab with this design over on the Hibou Home website, check them out here.

I love decorating with vintage wallpaper in kids’ rooms – using it a on all four walls in a box room, on just a feature wall, or working with small pieces to up-cycle furniture. One of my favourite shops for retro wallpaper is Retrovilla (based in Denmark but shipping worldwide). They currently give 25% discount on all wallpaper until the end of Sunday 13th July (mention “SOMMERTILBUD” in the comments field), so now might be good time to have a browse!
